Depression

Depression counseling is a type of therapy that helps individuals manage and overcome symptoms of depression. Depression is a common and serious mood disorder that affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. It can cause feelings of sadness, loss of interest or pleasure in activities, changes in appetite, sleep patterns, and energy levels. Depression can also lead to feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, and thoughts of suicide

During depression counseling sessions, a therapist will work with you to understand the underlying causes of your depression and to identify patterns and triggers that may be contributing to your symptoms. They will use a variety of techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, problem-solving therapy and mindfulness-based therapy to help you manage and reduce your symptoms. Together, you and your therapist will set goals and work on developing the skills and strategies to help you manage depression and improve your overall well-being.

It's important to remember that depression is not a sign of weakness and seeking help is a sign of strength.
